This week on FilmSack, we got the JUICE… or is it that, we are the JUICE… hmmm… full disclosure… before this movie the only JUICE I had any experience with was the kind that came frozen from a can that grandma stirred up in a glass pitcher of water and poured into my McDonald’s Collectable Speedy Gonzalez glass that I downed before running outside to yell ¡Arriba, Arriba! ¡Ándale, Ándale! until my 6 year old body crashed out… and if you find that cringe… then hold onto your butts as 4 white dudes in their 50s discuss a movie about … hold on… I’ll just read the top synopsis that IMDB fed me for this 1992 Crime/Drama that tragically reminds us about the fate of a young Tupac Shakur :
Anywho, here we go “Four Harlem teens–Q, Bishop, Raheem, and Steel–are out skipping school one day when they find out that an old friend was killed in a shootout at a bar. After this, Bishop tells his friends that they have no respect, or juice. To get some, they rob a corner grocery store, but things take an unexpected turn. Only the four friends know what happened, but one of them is out for himself. – Thank you Stevenson for spinning those gold 1200s of truth. Totally not Wickity Wickity Wack.
